Our client is a multi-billion Hedge Funds with headquarters in the USA. As the European branch is being launched in Geneva, we are looking for a:
Chief Risk Officer (European branch)
As a member of the Executive committee, you will join an entrepreneurial team which manages global fixed income investments (high yield, distressed and private debt…) and launches regulated funds.
Job Description:
- Set up a risk controlling process, satisfying FINMA and CSSF, in liaison with the Global Risk Officer and the Funds Administrator.
- Monitor and control the Compliance process and reports, coming from a delegated authority.
- Value complex financial instruments (like private debt warrant, distressed exchange or warrants… with primary models) and control the valuation with the different entities.
- Monitor the funding and the liquidity parameters of different products and evaluate the counterparty risk of the funds, in contact with the Management Company of the Fund.
- Monitor UCIT’s fixed income funds and value fixed income products. He will monitor the NAV of the funds and perform regular performance analysis.
- Monitor ESG parameters of the investments and control that investments are aligned to ESG regulation.
- Liaise with auditors of the company and the funds, manage the accounting reporting and prepare reports to the board.
- Be part of the investment process by bringing its expertise and risk approach to private investments, special situations and distressed.
- Being part of an entrepreneurial project, the CRO will participate in the development of the firm and assume some operational responsibilities.
Required Profile:
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as CRO, COO, CCO or CFO within an Asset Management Firm, or a similar position within a regulated entity.
- Prior expertise with Luxembourg and Swiss authorities CSSF and FINMA.
- Ability to monitor, control and report the risk exposure of the investment team.
- English and French fluent.
