Our client is a privately owned Wealth Management Company based in Canton de Vaud. In order their team dedicated to Commodity investments, we are looking for a Commodity Analyst.
Responsibilities:
- Deepen and further strengthen the proprietary analytical toolkit
- Conduct commodity market research and analysis, both quantitative and fundamental
- Contribute to investment view and idea generation as well as strategy development
- Drive process automation
- Help with portfolio optimization efforts, liaise with relevant stakeholders
- Support senior portfolio managers in their daily monitoring and management of commodity strategies, act as back-up
- Take part and present analysis in internal investment committees and forums
- Adhere to deadlines and strive for excellence in the quality of deliverables
Profile:
- A maximum of 5 years of experience at a commodity trading house, investment bank or asset management firm in research, quantitative analysis, trading/structuring, portfolio management.
- Strong analytical and quantitative/programming skills (e.g. python) with attention to detail
- University degree or equivalent in a quantitative field or finance, CFA a plus
- Passion for financial and commodity markets
- Willingness to specialize in the field of commodities, including acquiring bottom-up knowledge
- Proficiency in information systems (such as Bloomberg, Excel, and financial databases)
- Experience in trading commodity futures and derivatives is another plus
- Self-driven and capable of working independently towards objectives
- Fluency in English (primary working language)
